Come for a discussion with Oregon Senator Jeff Merkley, followed by a voter registration drive on campus. 

First elected in 2009, Senator Merkley has been fighting for health care access and the environment during his time in office. Last year he introduced legislation, co-sponsored by Senator Bernie Sanders, that would wean the US off fossil fuels completely by 2050. Recently he was on the front line of the fight against the confirmation of Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court. 

The Senator is on the following Senate Committees: Appropriations, Foreign Relations, Budget, and Environment and Public Works.
