Join fellow advocates on this Thursday, October 19th, to assemble abortion care baskets for patients and to write some letters to the editor! We will also be uplifting our hardworking Ames clinic staff in the midst of attacks such as 40 days of "life" protest around the state. No one should be shamed for seeking quality reproductive health care!
All sessions are hybrid, so you can join us from your home or get your favorite fall snacks in person at the Ames Public Library — PEO Room, 5:30-6:30pm

And after the event, please stay for:
The State of Public Education in Iowa
7-8:30 pm, Rotary Room, Ames Public Library
Come learn with the Story County League of Women Voters about the state of public education in Iowa. Patrick O'Donnell—an educator with 37 years of experience as a teacher, high school principal and school superintendent (and my brother)—will talk about the recently enacted Students First Act. During his presentation, he will explore its effects on Iowa’s public schools and provide insights into the legislative journey that led to its passage.
