This is an invitation to join us Thursday evening, January 16 at 8:00 via Zoom to learn about our Iowa Food Bank system and food availabilities for our youth from the USDA.

The discussion will focus on the alarmingly increasing rate of people needing food assistance. We will learn from Michelle Book, who recently retired as the CEO of Food Bank of Iowa, and Mary Kay Madsen, MS, who will provide information about Federal feeding programs for Iowa's children.

Michelle was the CEO of the Food Bank of Iowa from 2016 until she retired at the end of December.

Mary Kay is a retired dietitian, having worked as a School Foodservice Director and a consultant with the Bureau of Nutrition Programs for the Department of Education. Though retired she has continued to be interested in feeding children in Iowa.
